Ir al Sur : 2009 : Going South

About

My name is Nabeel Cajee. I just finished my Sophomore year at University of the Pacific.This blog is dedicated to those who wish to virtually join me through my experiences during the Summer of 2009.

I interned and taught classes with AgroXXI, an NGO in southern Bolivia, on an Ambassador Corps Fellowship through the The Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Pacific for 8 weeks.

Midway through my internship I took a week long trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina and Asuncion, Paraguay.

I conducted a research project to gain insight into the transformation of Medellín, Colombia interviewing participants and observers and photographing developments for two weeks funded by the Pacific Fund and the Friends of the Stockton Public Library.

To conclude the trip, I spent a few days with friends in Lima, Peru.

I returned to California on August 12th after 2.5 months visiting 5 countries, boarding 17 different planes, sleeping in 19 different beds, and spending over 90 hours in buses.
